In the letter, George [Garb] apologizes for certain individuals acting with such little regard for their officers. He condemns their "taking planks," and warns that such proceedings should be stopped immediately. He also mentions distributing beef and beer to certain people under Livingston's care, and mentions a forthcoming trip to New York.
