In the letter to William Livingston, Robert expresses grave concern over his legal situation. He is disappointed that Bishop backed out at the last minute, and frustrated with Blackham for persistently thwarting his efforts. Robert implores William to help him out of the matter. With letters to Mr. Bogan, 9 May 1706; Mr. Edward King, [no date]; Capt. Key, 9 May 1706, Capt. Pat[illegible], 10 May 1706; and Mr. Joseph [illegible], 10 May 1706. All are concerned with concluding Livinston's legal troubles.
