At the Institute’s core is the Gilder Lehrman Collection, one of the great archives in American history. More than 85,000 items cover five hundred years of American history, from Columbus’s 1493 letter describing the New World through the end of the twentieth century.

Contains a number of different documents. P.1 is an account sheet containing the name of Robert Livingston. P.2 and 3 concern the account of Williamse, and contain the signatures of Albert Ryckman and Robert [illegible]. P. 4 and 5 contain larger account sheets concerning Williamse. P. 6 contains a note signed by Livingston and Adriann [illegible] in Dutch. Docketed on verso.
