At the Institute’s core is the Gilder Lehrman Collection, one of the great archives in American history. More than 85,000 items cover five hundred years of American history, from Columbus’s 1493 letter describing the New World through the end of the twentieth century.

Written by Bradford as Pennsylvania's Attorney General to Nicholson as Comptroller General. Says the case "Com v. Matlock" -- probably Comptroller v. Matlock -- will commence today. Wants Nicholson to meet him at Mr. Wilson's -- perhaps the well-known patriot James Wilson -- at 10 a.m. Will be obliged if Nicholson will bring the resolves of the Assembly. Docketed in Nicolson's hand.
