Signed by W. Jackson, possibly Major William Jackson. Writes on a subject that is of great importance to him and his family, trusting in Knox's candor and kindness. Mentions when Jackson traveled to New York to negotiate a transfer of property from Mr. [William] Duer to Knox and Mr. [William] Bingham. As payment for his services, Jackson was to receive a deed for profits from a portion of the land. Asks now to receive this deed.
