Fears that he will have to miss the meeting of the Society of the Cincinnati as business will keep him in New York a few more days. Hopes to arrive in Philadelphia by Thursday or Friday to pay his respects. Will forward the papers of the Society if a safe conveyance goes out. Noted as a copy in the docket. Letter in the hand of Knox's secretary at the War Department Robert Pemberton.
