Shaw signs as Henry Knox's aide-de-camp, certifying that the statement is true and just. Marked as a copy, containing the copied signature of Thomas Patten, Captain of Artillery Artificers. Patten also indicates that Adams has more than his share of clothing for the year. Verso contains a record of three certificates related to Lt. Livingston.
