Explains that the militia officers will examine that every man is provided with arms and ammunition, as accorded by law. Asks Knox to purchase arms for him. Also asks Knox's opinion of the times. The Revolutionary War was about to start and the Continental Congress had advised the colonies to begin training their citizens for war.
