Pierpont writes to financial author, Charles Conant, declining request to have his biography written. He writes "... At the same time any such procedure is entirely contrary to my taste, nor can I say that I am very anxious to have any biography published, even after I have passed away." Letter written on Grand Hotel d'Aix, letterhead with hotel envelope. Envelope includes a twenty-five cent French stamp and four postmarks: two from Aix-les-Bains and two from Paris.
