Partially printed document countersigned by John Lowell as deputy secretary. Members of the Massachusetts Bay Council also signed, including: James Otis, W. White, and Dr. Samuel Holten. Harman was appointed a first lieutenant in the 6th company, under Captain Roger Libby, in the 3rd regiment of militia for Cumberland County. Includes a paper seal.
