The Connecticut Governor orders Colonel Tyler of the Eighth Regiment of Connecticut Militia to draft one fourth of his regiment, outfit them with blankets, weapons, and others supplies, and send them to the "Forts at New London & Places adjacent." They are directed to duty under Major Nathan Sallup until April 15, 1777. He asks Tyler for a "return of your Doing & without Delay." An unrelated note on the verso says: "Fish hooks & lines."
