Inscribed by "Rudolph Frey. Clerk at Hd Qrs. Dep't of the Mo. July 3d. 1863." Inside back cover has a faded signature of "Rudolph Frey." Pasted paper on inside front cover says "R.P. Studley & Co. Bookbinders, Printers and Lithographers S.W. Cor. Main & Olive Sts St. Louis." Contains order No. 1-175 from the War Department for the first half of 1863. The book is divided into sections with unique pagination for each section. Order No. 94 has signature: "Official W.H. Stark Actg Capt, Adjt Genl." Spine is fraying and binding is damaged.
