Enlistment paper for Oliver Comstock who voluntarily joined the army as a private. He signed up for six months with the First Regiment of Levies at Fort Washington near Cincinnati, Ohio. His unit was raised under an act signed by President Washington on 3 March 1791 to protect the frontier. Also contains an oath of allegiance. Contains Comstock's clerical signature as well as the clerical signature of George Woods, who acts as a witness. Marked as "No 8."
