Prepared in the central office of the Quartermaster General under Brevet Brigadier General Alexander J. Perry. Contains record of 16,485 graves of deceased Union soldiers in the cemetery at Nashville. 12,486 men have been identified while 4,472 are classified as "Unknown." The records are divided up by state. The names are in alphabetical order under each state heading. Gives rank, company, regiment, date of death, section, number of grave, and original place of internment. Published by the authority of the Secretary of War.
