One letter from Leonard Eugene Graeff to Susan Prowell Graeff and Raymond James Graeff dated October 15, 1944. He received letters from them, Dick Miller, and Jo Gassert. Dick is in France near Germany and asked if Raymond had any girls he wanted him to look up while he was there. Jo is still working at the railroad. He has yet to receive Viola's letter but did receive June's package, 2 1/2 months later. It was a pair of collapsible slippers. He inquired about aunt Bertha's health. He has not received the bracelet, and cautions Susan to not send a Christmas box yet as some on base are already receiving theirs. He received the photo of Malinda, and thinks she looks nice. He is surprised to hear The Hoover's are moving. He received Helen Peter's engagement announcement. He had previously heard about it from June and Ed. On his last liberty he attempted to get a ride in a plane and had to go across the island on a bus ride. The plane did not work out but the bus ride was very exciting. He compares it to a roller coaster ride.
