Our Collection

At the Institute’s core is the Gilder Lehrman Collection, one of the great archives in American history. More than 85,000 items cover five hundred years of American history, from Columbus’s 1493 letter describing the New World through the end of the twentieth century.

Sylvia reports the she went to work and then shopping. Had dinner with a woman who didn't go to see her husband on the west coast as Sylvia did. Talking with her made Sylvia glad she made the trip. Talks about not feeling well, and about her sister meeting his cousin strolling his baby.
