One engraving entitled "Chattanooga and its Defences: Constructed and Engraved to Illustrate the War with the South" dated 1865. Depicts a topographical map of the ground on which the battles Chickamauga (September 18-20,1863) and Ringgold (November 27,1863) were fought. Caption notes, the battles were fought "for the possession of the great railroad triangle of Tennessee and Georgia." Engraved by Rae Smith after topography by Charles Shoel.
