Linen Union campaign banner with image of an eagle holding an American flag shield. Banner held in eagle's beak reads [Abraham] Lincoln and [Andrew] Johnson. Printed in red, blue and black. Altered for use in the 1864 election. The original banner had Hannibal Hamlin's name as the vice-presidential candidate but in 1864, Hamlin's name was cut out and Johnson's added. Attached to original stick. Measurements include the stick. The stick measures 49.5 cm long by 1.5 cm wide.
