Portrait of John H. Hilldring in civilian dress with a single, indistinct lapel pin. The photograph bears some damage in the lower left-hand corner. The image was likely taken after the end of the war, either while Hilldring served as Assistant Secretary of State for Occupied Areas or later while he worked in the private sector.
