Half-length seated portrait of Union corporal with beard. Soldier's cheeks have been colored and his chevrons have been painted red, possibly indicating artillery service. CASE: Union case with acanthus design. (See Clifford & Michele Krainik, Union Cases, #66.) Case thickness 2.9 cm.
