A print of a photograph taken by John Reekie in February of 1865. Inscription on verso "Aiken House near Yellow [House]." A group of women pose on the porch and a Union soldier poses against the fence on the far left. The tent to the right is the safeguard's, a soldier(s) posted to protect the household and property from stragglers. Trees obscure much of the house from view.
