Writes to let Knox know that upon his arrival in London, he tried to locate Mrs. Urquhart but was unable to. Thinks she might be in Jersey; does not, in fact, think she has left her husband. Comments on her situation, and the difficulty one might have in locating someone who has fled under these circumstances.

Fraser may be referring to Hannah Flucker Urquhart Harwood, the sister of Knox's wife Lucy. She married for the first time to James Urquhart circa 1774, and then was divorced. She married a second time, to Richard Harwood, circa 1788. It is unclear why he is referring to her as Mrs. Urquhart, or which husband he is referring to.
