Discusses the monies owed by a Mr. McConnell, and encloses an open letter to him (not present) on the subject. Comments on the ability of himself and Mr. [Samuel] Shaw to sell their merchandise, such as tea, and pay what they owe. Also mentions Shaw's upcoming marriage proposal and wishes him luck.
