A provision return for nine men belonging to the 4th Massachusetts Regiment. Eighty-one rations were issued to the men for a total of six days, commencing on 18 July 1783. The order is signed by Samuel Shaw, General Knox's aide-de-camp. The docket is signed by a Samuel [Wheeler] confirming receipt of the contractors in New York and New Jersey.
