Now he "doth...pitch for two acres and eight rod...adjoining to his own home." Also a note about Nathan Seeles, "casting of his Land South of Capt Robert Harvard's Land." On reverse are Continental dollar amounts and other calculations and a date of 1 September 1777. Dated 1 September 1777 - January 1, 1780.

First paragraph is Seele's father's words written by Panny, who is a neighbor, imploring Nathan Seele to come home and care for him. Second paragraph is signed by Panny and urges Nathan Seele to come home, care for his father, and handle his estate. Promises not to hurt Seele, and will instead give him time to turn himself in. Bottom half of first page is missing.

Postscript states hard bread is preferred over flour. Olney was Lieutenant Colonel of Rhode Island recruits.

Directs them to notify the townspeople that are qualified to act in town affairs to assemble at the public meeting house on 8 July 1778 at 1PM. Lists the articles to be addressed at the meeting including raising money to pay the soldiers and companies of the Continental army. Note dated 8 July 1778 and signed by Abial Mitchel, Constable certifying that he has notified the townspeople of the meeting.

Seymour asks if it is possible for Master Hany to visit during May or June. Indicates that it is especially important because of the losses they have experienced in Groton, Connecticut since he has been gone. Explains that because of these losses, he cannot take on the expense of Hany's trip but hopes Sands can arrange something. He gives his love to Mrs. Sands and friends. On September 6, 1781, British forces, commanded by Benedict Arnold, captured Fort Griswold in Groton and massacred 88 of the 165 defenders stationed there.
