Moodie, Andrew, ?-1787
Autograph letter signed
Title: to Henry Knox
Outlines a situation concerning a Robert Richardson, sent to West Point from Springfield the previous fall. Richardson is not attached to any corps in particular, and works at the laboratory and at other positions at the post. Moodie is finding it difficult to provide him with clothing, provisions and pay because he is not attached to any group. He therefore is applying to Knox for instruction. Adds in a post script that a Donald Campble at Fishkill with Rodock [probably John Ruddock, the commissary at Fishkill] is in a similar situation as Richardson.
