Title: Opinion of the attorney general and soliciter regarding an act to prevent fraud
The attorney general Thomas Trevir, and the Solicitor John Hawley, give their opinions as to whether an act for preventing frauds in the plantation trade should be applied to Scotchmen. Both men state that a Scotchman is a natural born subject of England, and therefore accountable to the provision.
