Assures Knox that William "is in an exceeding good Family, where he is treated with great tenderness, & is attended by one of the first Phisicians [sic] in London..." Promises to "pay every attention in [his] power" to William during his stay in England.

Reports on the condition of Knox's brother, William, who is in London. Describes William's condition: "Your brother is not so well as he was- he requires the immediate attention of one or two persons, & is sometimes disposed to be mischievous- in my opinion, it is impossible to send him home at present." Assures Knox he will meet Dr. [Monro] the following day to solicit care for William (possibly referring to Dr. John Monro, noted for his study of insanity).
