Title: to Robert Livingston, Jr. and Henry Cuyler re: arrival of the Ship Oswego

Storke & Gainsborough announce the arrival of the Ship Oswego, and state that tensions are mounting with the Spanish. Followed by another letter dated 18 August 1738, in which they explain that they have received Capt. Langdon, and discuss arrangements for sending goods back to New York. Docketed on address leaf.

Title: to Robert Livingston, Jr. re: trading concerns

The letter begins with an account of the silver sold from the Oswego. Storke and Gainsborough inform Livingston of their difficulty in obtaining a remittance from Gibralter, and note a correction they had to make on the invoice of the Oweego, which they have debited to Livingston's account. They also state that the situation with Spain remains uncertain. Docketed on address leaf.
