Signed by Stewart as district clerk pro tem of Montgomery County, Texas. An affidavit submitted on behalf of Thomas J. Wood, the defendant in the case of Joseph Lundley v. Thomas J. Wood, indicating that Wood "cannot safely go to the trial...owing to the prejudice which exists in the minds of the people of Montgomery County." Wood desired a change of venue for the case.
