Pennsylvania recruitment broadside, published by recruiting officer Lieutenant Thomas Sparks probably asking for men to defend the state during Robert E. Lee's invasion in June-July 1863. Focal point is large depiction of a debonair soldier charging in battle against defeated Confederates. He is joined by other sword-wielding men in the background. Asks for recruits for the regiment of Gray Reserves, to serve for 3 months unless sooner discharged.
