Written in a secretarial hand and signed by Captain Skinner as the Chief of the Bureau of Construction and Repair for the Navy Department to Commander Purviance of the "Ontario." References Purviause's communication from 12 November 1850. Asks for a report on the "Carpt" (perhaps carpenter?) now on board the "Ontario." Skinner document is also at GLC03479.47.

Written by Skinner of the Bureau of Construction and Equipment of the U.S. Navy Department Stewart of the Philadelphia Navy Yard.
