Title: to Mr. Franklin re: order to restore a tenant to his estate on the Manor
The document explains that Mr. Franklin has been accused of violently forcing himself upon the estate of Robert van Deusen's son on the Manor of Livingston, and turning the said tenant out at gun point. When Robert Livingston, Jr. confronted Mr. Franklin on the matter, Mr. Franklin's men turned their guns on Livingston while Franklin declared that he would not leave unless he received orders from Governor Shirley.
