Schuyler asks Lord Cornbury to address a recent incident in which the people of New England violently chased away a group of peaceful Indians hunting in that area. P.2 contains another letter in which Schuyler requests Lord Cornbury's presence in Albany to discuss matters with the Oneidas, and representatives from Canada and New England. Title: Propositions to the 5 Nations

Schuyler explains the French designs to make a settlement at Onjagore, and warns the Indians that they will be ruined if they allow such a settlement. He discusses the mischievous activity of the 5 Nations in the southern colonies, and advises them to send an embassy to acknowledge their breach of the covenant, and their desire to repair the damages. Schuyler also mentions a conflict regarding possession of the Susquehanna River, and the need for confirmation of when and to whom this land was sold. The docket states that the proposition was not approved.

. . . chiefs, Captains, & Leaders of a Company of 350 Indians of the 5 Nations now bounde upon an Expedition to Canida all Encamped at Shinnechtady." In the proposition, Schuyler writes that the "French praying Indians" will always be their enemies, and he asks the 5 Nations to destroy their camps, and also to do what damage they can to the French.
