Written by Rear Admiral Schroeder to an unknown recipient. Replying to his note of the same day, Schroeder says he was appointed Commander in Chief of the Atlantic Fleet in March 1909 and has been in command since that time. Thanks him for inquiring. Written on letterhead of the "United States Atlantic Fleet, U.S.S. Connecticut, Flagship."
