Appoints Richey as master of the ship Shrewsbury. Dated on board the ship Formidable. On reverse is a note dated 2 June 1782 signed by Samuel Wallis allowing Richey to be paid for his time served as master of the ship. Rodney was a British Vice Admiral. Partially printed.

Partially printed bill of exchange. The money was designated "For Defraying the Expenses and Carrying on the Current Serives of your Office at thei Place." Noted accepted on 13 August 1782. The docket orders payment to a Mr. Patrick Leckie from Billyer.
