Title: To the sheriff of New London County

Arrest of a Native American named Ben Garrit for disturbing the peace. Requests the sheriff search for Garrit and bring him before Raymond or another of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace within the County of New London to be properly dealt with according to the law. On verso is a note dated 25 July 1744 signed by Samuel Crandall stating that he has arrested Ben Garrit and brought him before Isaac Huntington, Justice of the Peace for New London County, Connecticut.
