Written from "Camp." Writes that agreeable to the wishes of the Committee, he has been trying to get "Capt. Pemberton to transcribe our address." Captain Pemberton has been too busy with his own work, so he has asked Colonel Cortlandt, and though he keeps requesting the finished transcript, Colonel Cortlandt has not yet been "able to procure a fair Transcript." Has enclosed a copy of the transcript but as soon as the other copy is complete and he has it signed, he will send it to Knox. Written by Major General Paterson to certify that Ira Sayman has furnished 140 rations. This was enough for ten days for one lieutenant and 12 men who were guarding prisoners in Great Barrington, Massachusetts. Note on verso, signed by Caleb Hick, says the rations were received.

Writes, "The officers of the Second Regiment of Artillery and Corps of Sappers and Miners in this Garrison are to form a Garrison Court Martial for the tryal of Philip Francis of [illegible] Regiment & Peggy Martin - Captain Moody [possibly Andrew Moodie] President three officers from the second Regt one from the Corps of Sappers & Miners are to for the Court."
