Title: [Medical certificate for furlough extension of Lucius T. Stanley]

Attests that he examined Stanley and found "that he is suffering from the effects of a severe attack of pneumonia of the left lung and that in consequence thereof he is in my opinion unfit for duty." Claims he needs at least thirty days to recover. WIth endorsement stating that Morse took an oath attesting to the truthfulness of his diagnosis, signed by Justice of the Peace of Chemung County R.H. Romsom. With stamp on verso.
