Title: to Robert Livingston re: advising Margaret about Samuel Vetch's character

Jannet Miller writes to her uncle in an effort to dissuade him from granting his blessing on his daughter Margaret marrying Samuel Vetch. Miller writes that Vetch is hated by "al his country and that for his evil deads." She then tells of young Robert's progress in his studies - "he is good conditioned and lovs to be incouraged" but is not yet ready "to make acquaintanc with any of the Scholars." Finally, Jannet requests that both Robert and Margaret favor her with letters, as her immediate family has dwindled in numbers to include only her mother and her cousin, young Robert. Docketed on…
