Title: [McCook endorsement on recommendation of George F. Irvin, Company O, 52nd Ohio Volunteers, as clerk]

Matthew L. Morrow, Acting Quartermaster of the 52nd Regiment, Ohio Volunteers, recommends Irvin (possibly John F. Irvin) for the position of clerk to Captain Pratt, Assistant Adjutant General. Indicates that Irvin is "a splendid penman and clerk, and withal, a very fine young man..." General McCook endorses at the bottom of the page, imploring Colonel [Connell?] to find a man who would make a decent ordnance sergeant.
