One essay written in 1964 by Marjorie Lees Linn regarding the Sixteenth Street Baptist Church bombing. Linn's attempts to voice the incredulity she felt after the attack and insults she received criticizing those who committed the attack. "How can responsible, clear-thinking white people possibly believe that there is any excusing such acts or for that matter any excusing their own prejudice against the colored race?"
