Knox writes to the Committee, which includes Leonard Jarvis, Samuel Phillips, Daniel Correy, John Read [Knox spells it "Reed"], and Nathaniel Wells. Seems to be writing on behalf of the heirs and executors of the Waldo patent. Discusses the northern boundaries of the patent, and asks that the Committee submit their concerns to the General Court.

Knox agrees to supply the inhabitants who agree to his terms with warranty deeds. The land is being sold for four shillings an acre or 2/3 of a dollar per acre. The document contains the full terms of the agreement along with details about surveying the land. Document appears to be a duplicate of GLC02437.09199.

Warning to those who have or wish to usurp land in the Waldo Patent that they will suffer the consequences of the law and also serves to notify those who have been "seduced by the temporary impunity of the above usurpers" that they too, could face prosecution as "surveyors or abettors [sic] in such nefarious designs." Noted as from Montpelier, which is the Knox home in Thomaston, Maine, located by the St. Georges River.

Longs to be with her, and hopes that he will have a chance at the end of winter. The men are fighting on past their enlistment dates and have "high spirits but want Rum and clothing." Informs her that he has been made Brigadier General over all artillery, which was "unsolicited on my part, tho' I cannot say unexpected." Says that people are too lavish in their praise of him, and that he possesses nothing more than industry and love of country.
