Does not feel much like writing this afternoon but remembered his obligation and will say a few words. Arrived at St. Louis one week ago this morning (Thursday) at 3 o'clock. His company had been mustered out the day before. Panicked about getting his pay but because of Colonel Bonneville's kindness, he got everything settled. Arrived back home Sunday morning and was greeted warmly. Has been home for nearly five days and is getting rather tired of it. Will go to Poughkeepsie, New York to finish his education.
