Asks to be sent clothes and several other things and seeks news, mostly regarding farming related activities. Comments on the dragoons and artillery passing through during the War of 1812. Notes that he "saw the Artillery and spoke with many of them they Looke some fatigued but all hearty & ruged." Continues the letter on October 20, 1812 and reports that staying with Mr. Hubbard was a presbyterian priest who had been "in Ogdensburg when the Cannonading took place…
