Title: Account of Money Expended by Elijah Grout & Robt Perry On an Expedition to Connecticut River - by His Excellency General Burgoyne's Orders
Lists cash expenditures for his expedition south from Montreal, Canada. Mentions cash payments to get his expedition to St. Johns, the Connecticut River, Ticonderoga, and opposite Crown Point. Paid a Mr. Hubbard to distribute Burgoyne's declarations among local inhabitants. Other cash expenditures were for provisions. Total cost is slightly over 8 pounds, he received over 2 pounds, and is asking for a reimbursement of over 6 pounds. Countersigned by a John Peters on verso, stating Burgoyne said he should be paid.
