Describes his long and difficult journey home. He informs Ogden that they had a very cold snowstorm on the first of the month. He attended the funeral of a man from his company. He has seen Mr. England, from whom he learned that his descriptive list had been sent to Philadelphia two weeks before his return home. Asks Ogden to send him the list, because he might need it before he is allowed to work. Includes short note from Elizabeth Gregory to Mrs. Ogden on the fourth page.
