One letter addressed to George Washington from Mary Katherine Goddard dated December 23, 1789. Pertains to reinstating Mary Katherine Goddard as the Postmaster General in Baltimore. Claims that she had not committed misconduct in her position. and should therefore not be forcibly removed by Postmaster General Samuel Osgood.

One copy of a schedule for monies addressed to George Washington dated December 23, 1789. Contains a list of quarterly payments made at the Baltimore Post Office between January 1776 to April 1781. This was included in her case of evidence to support her reinstatement to her position as Baltimore postmaster after Samuel Osgood dismissed her.
