A print of a photograph of the headquarters of the 1st Brigade, Horse Artillery in Brandy Station, VA. Brick chimneys have been added to the tents. One has a barrel placed on top of it. Soldiers stand near the flag pole and one soldier stands to the left of the door of the log cabin. A black soldier stands to the right of the door to the cabin, near the wood pile. A print of a photograph of the headquarters of the 1st Brigade, Horse Artillery. Inscription on verso: Mislabeled "Atlanta" Photograph shows a log cabin with a tent used as a roof and A-frame tents on either side of it with brick chimeys. A barrel has been placed ont top of one of the chimneys. Soldiers posed around tent in the center of photograph. The Horse Artillery flag flies on the left bearing cross cannons and the names of battles it has been engaged in. "XI" "634." See GLC 5111.01.0128, .0130

A print of a photograph showing two groups of men posed near a sutlers cabin. The foremost group appears to be officers conversing. The second group stands near the sutlers counter and faces the camera. The sign on the store reads: "A. Foulke Sutler 1st Brigade Hse Arty." Verso notations: "Ordway Gardner Coll." "XI" "164." Published in Photographic History of the Civil War, 4: 247 (1st part of book). This image belongs to a set of three and is second in that series.
