Copies a request, sent by telegraph from Lewis Baldwin Parsons, Colonel and Chief Quartermaster. Parsons asks that the "Colypse," possibly a boat, is ordered forward after arriving at Fort Leavenworth to call upon Major Chew at "St. Joe" (possibly St. Joseph, Missouri), and to sail up the Missouri River to secure freight for General Scully's expedition (possibly Lieutenant Colonel James W.
